I’m currently an undergraduate researcher in the Fisher Lab in the department of Neuroscience & Pharmacology. My lab works to understand how the protein RGS6 affects various neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease, as well as conditions such as alcoholism and depression.
Getting involved in research has been a great way to expand my knowledge outside of the classroom and learn critical thinking skills. It’s helped me make amazing connections with people who are very involved in research and can offer great advice! Participating in ICRU has also helped me gain a better understanding of the many different areas of research occurring on campus.
Besides research, I’m involved in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Club and the Spanish Club. I also love baking, hiking, and playing tennis!
