OUR Academic Year Research Fellowship Deadline Fast Approaching

Undergraduate research experiences are a great way to elevate your time at the University of Iowa. The program provides funding that allows current University of Iowa undergraduates in any discipline to work with UI faculty or Professional & Scientific staff mentors on a specific project during the academic year. Scholarship funding for selected applications is in the amount of $2,500 (for about 5-6 hours of work per week) during the school year.

Biology Instructor Position

The Department of Biology at the University of Iowa invites applications for a non-tenure, 75% visiting instructor position beginning August 21, 2024. This position will primarily contribute to instruction in the introductory biology curriculum lab sections for the life sciences, specifically Foundations of Biology and Diversity of Form and Function.

Latham Science Engagement Fellowship

Learn how to communicate science with this fellowship available to undergraduate researchers! The Latham Science Engagement Fellowship program is designed to enhance research opportunities and strengthen science outreach communication skills for selected undergraduate students. This fellowship is a one-year program, beginning in the fall of 2024. Students will take one 2 S.H. class per semester-- LATH:3000 and LATH:3001-- where they will learn communication skills and create final outreach projects.
